“Le Havre cosmic port” is the vision of artist Félicie d'Estienne d'Orves, who has transformed the EDF thermal power plant, located on the edge of the René Coty basin, into a space beacon.
The two chimneys breathe in unison with Mars and Venus,
lighting up at varying intervals depending on the “light time” of the two stars—that is, the duration of a journey from Mars to Earth or Venus to Earth at the speed of light. It's a way for Le Havre to take the pulse of the solar system in a dreamlike way."
